Franklin Civic Operetta Association presents the comedy The Foreigner.
“Froggy" LeSeuer visits a rural Georgia camp and brings Charlie, a shy young man with him. He tells everyone that Charlie is from a foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone Charlie overhears more than he should—the evil plans of a sinister minister; that the minister's fiancée is pregnant; and other revelations made thinking that Charlie doesn't understand a word being said. What he does fuels nonstop hilarity and sets up the climax in which things awry for the "bad guys," and the "good guys" emerge triumphant.
Directed by Bill Trimble, the Foreigner performs August 13-14 and 20-22, 2002. Tickets available now online at http://www.barrowtheatre.com/ or by calling the Box Office.
